First Listen Review: Milk & Bone – “Little Mourning”

Genre: Chillwave

The Good: Basically they sound like a girl version of Washed Out, but a little more alive. There are still the keyboards of Chillwave, but there are some really nice additions of high piano on songs like “New York”. “Tomadachi” adds some impressive rapping to the mix. The cover for the album plays the mood well, it’s very airy and light on its feet, but certainly some nice vocals with the two women singing together. There are some elements of Au Revoir Simone as well.

The Bad: Nothing to complain

Would I Listen Again: Definitely
