Genre: Neo-Classical Ambient Downtempo Electronic
The Good: Ambient records, though comforting and powerfully compelling in their ability to work their magic on the mind, tend to be a dime a dozen with their easy ability to be too minimalistic to the point that they are forgettable. This record, however, is far from this. It isn’t full on ambient music, there is too much electronic down tempo going on. However, these percussion tracks come in at all the right places. The songs themselves are simple arrangements, but they mask this simplicity extremely well. I could see poetry easily spoken, rapped, or sung over the top of this. The album is better than the last, a little less techno sounding. The additions of classical instruments is a beautiful touch.
The Bad: It isn’t for everyone, but for real music lovers, it is certainly a respectable listen.
Would I Listen Again: Definitely
