The Good: If I were to actually give ratings out of 5 on this site, this album would definitely be a 5/5. It’s a well mastered live performance of a musician once, and possibly still, regarded as the world’s best drummer. This performance took place decades ago, but it sounds crisp as ever. It’s a wild jazz extravaganza with the focus on the drummer. There are fast paced and slow paced songs, each showing that the drum can be as varying of an instrument as any guitar. The final song “Keep the Customer Satisfied” is a real treat, turning the Simon and Garfunkel classic into a horn infested, drum rolling jazzfest.
The Bad: No lyrics, the kiddies may be bored. Ignore their love of easy to make modern pop.
